Default Nesting Wood pigeon - Columba palumbus

This couple have set up house directly outside my computer room.... I literally can just turn my head towards the window and can just about catch sight of them amongst the leaves. It's only pure chance that I realised they were there as they are well tucked in. I saw 'Hubby' in the tree with a stick but instead of flying off with it as I would normally expect, he moved, with difficulty, to the interior . I didn't think too much of it (they are not the brightest of creatures) until I spotted him again - so then my brain started churning and I spotted the wife sitting pretty

It's now a few hours later and I can't see her there, but then the neighbours have put on their loud gangster rap.... she may have taste ;-)

Well tucked away there Louise, hopefully you should get some interesting shots if the nesting is successful.

I've not seen them there since lunchtime, so they may have given up already, just like the Blackbirds did with their nest in my ivy.
