Default Flame Shoulder caterpillar - Ochropleura plecta... POSSIBLY!!!

This one was lucky as it was on the path and I only spotted it because it moved... or I would have stepped on it.

Caterpillars can be difficult, and quite a few look like this one, but I think that it may well be a Flame Shoulder for the following reasons( the first 2 being the key) :

    - None of the others that I spotted seem to have the yellow side stripe (FS under is pale ochreous)

    - Double brooded so does have larvae in September (some only have single broods earlier in the year)

    - a FM is 35-35mm long
    - FM Occupies woodland fringes (which is where this was found)

I may very well be wrong, but this is a good candidate I think
