It can be very difficult to capture a sharp photo , they tend toblend into their background
I like the Grey Wagtail Beryl, a smart bird with attractive colours and long bobbing tail. I've seen one or two today on a stream in the Trough of Bowland including a recently fledged one which I worried about as they look so vulnerable at this age, not able to make anything like a fast retreat if danger threatens, if make a retreat at all in fact.

i second petes concern for the young ones at this time of year... though cruel as nature is, ones' demise could mean anothers' survival. sadly thats the way of the world, isn't it.
