    I think my best ones may have been about 4am as well, but sitting at the stable-type door and leaning my camera on the top of the lower door-part, didn't make a good tripod! That, and a cheaper camera are my (main) excuses! - The other being the photographer!

    They're good Catherine, very difficult to get good images at night and without a tripod, some of mine were using a 4 second exposure and of course the 500mm sigma lens.

    You are very kind, Rolf, but I must have taken about fifty shots and had to delete most!

    I had lots of 'double moons' and triple moons' amongst them.

    Still, although I don't understand the solar system too well, and outer space just confuses me even more, I find the subject fascinating, and never cease to be astonished at what is still being found out about our moon and other planets.

    Now, Rolf, what about getting a pic of that flowing water on Mars?

    By the way, while I was watching, a single shooting star flew past the top right of the moon. Only lasted for about 4 times the diameter of the moon itself and was very quick, but I saw it!

    Have put all my pics on Flickr now - just to show the progression;

    Will delete many later once I've had time to select those to leave! Just haven't had enough time to do that yet!
