The first photo here as Pete has kindly pointed out is a Black-tailed godwit (which I should have known), the second a Sandpiper in front of a Little Grebe the third unfortunately the Sandpiper is flying away

Beryl, I really don't want to keep doing this but am convinced you would sooner I did than didn't.
Your first pic is of a Black-tailed Godwit. Your third is exactly what you say it is......a Common Sandpiper flying away.

By the way, this bird can sometimes be confused with the Bar-tailed Godwit at a distance.

I think though the Bar -tailed has a slightly turned up beak
