Captured these magpies in a tree just before it belted with rain . There were about a dozen all together but they don't seam to it still for long.

Belted with rain eh Beryl. Well for a change the weather today in the North was superb if very cold. I had a superb days birding including two Merlin, a Kingfisher, two Little Owl, and four Short-eared Owl together not to mention many more common birds......wonderful and brilliant at the same time.

I did see the Kingfisher as it whizzed past But yes It was a case of hide and seek with the sun. The clouds won. Hoping tomorrow is nice . The RSPB chaps will be at Bowling Green Marsh and they always take extra Digiscopes for peeps to view the birds way out.
