A semi-opened chive flower head, with a lot of faffing
It was pretty enough without the faffing (I quite like shots with not a look going on in it), but decided to practise adding textures anyway.
Like it, lovely blend of colours.

Well I'd never have thought that, but then how many blokes do you know who've ever used a notelet.
You could make several from your pics and give them to Rolf at Christmas then, Louise!
Seriously, the friend who stayed with us last week bought me a pack of notelets with lovely Audubon bird prints on them - and I have just put them in a box with other notelet packs I've been given in the past, just in case I need them.
It's a sad fact that most communication is by email or text nowadays - or even a phone call from me is more likely!
However, had I the talent to create some cards from my personal photos or artwork, I'm sure I'd use them then - and I'm also sure the recipients would appreciate them more than a text, email or phone call!
It's sad isn't it - there will be a whole generation of no proof of communication and nothing to pull out when you want to dig into your memories, as all the digital stuff will get lost in the ether. My other half and I did 'court' (isn't that a lovely oldfashioned word?) via email, but I printed them off for just that reason. I now have a large pile of soppy emails :-)
