These beautiful little birds are very timid and on watching for quite awhile, seam to give in easily to the other little garden birds. I took a great deal of shots but they wouldn't stay still for more than a few second . Also the sun was very bright and the seed feeder was very shaded.

The late winter sun enhances the colours of birds' feathers. It makes them seem stronger than normal, helping the males to attract a mate - as nature intended!
