    Default Grey Heron - Ardea cinerea

    Dropped by a hotel at Pingewood near Reading to find out what was causing the noise on their large lake and spotted a Heron in a little pool by the side entrance, he flew out of the pool and onto a side walkway, got quite close before he flew off.

    The last picture shows what was making the noise.

    The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.
