    Default Chinese railroad

Do we still doubt that China is heading towards becoming a Mega super power in a decade or two?
No doubt at all. Regarding railroads , the USA is living in the dark ages.

This train will do 350 km/h

The trains have 1st class, business and VIP cars, as well as economy class of course.
There are also dedicated disabled areas, wheelchair accessible bathrooms and corridors.

Sounds ideal, though I wonder if such ideals will prevail in China.

They have the money - and now the knowledge - but, being aware of China's safety record in mines, etc. how safe will those trains be for those who work and travel on them?

(Will give son, Mike, a link to this. He is an engineer with Eurostar.)

No doubt that China and probably India will be major powers, but if we think our society has extremes of rich and poor, China and India will be far far worse, as there are already massive divides.
