Monogyna is the Hawthorn family.

The white one may also be of that family - although the pendulous branching habit is not typical of a Hawthorn. The images are a bit 'fuzzy' on my computer too...
I'm not really a plant expert - as Rolf kindly suggests! (Thanks for that though, Rolf!). However, if you could possibly post a close-up of the foliage of both trees, positive identification would be much easier!
Hawthorns are the perfect tree for birds - dense enough to hide from predators or shelter in the branches, plus providing food (caterpillars and berries) for birds as well as not growing too large to be in even the smallest of gardens. We had a lovely one in Ayr - and I miss it a lot!
