Saving water, was it all in vain?

Well, we've put the water saver in the cystern for the loo, turn off the tap whilst brushing teeth and shaving, shower rather than bath, adhered to the hosepipe ban, water the garden with washing up water, then this happens.

I think your savings are going down the drain there Rolf along with many others. I would like to see the statistics on how much is wasted against the amount pushed through pipes. Not possible scientifically of course but I subjectively I think a lot is wasted. Seems profits for the few are ahead of using money to replace old pipes.

Yes Jimbo, Thames Water have one of, if not the worst record on leakage, their excuse is that they took over a system with old pipes. Like they didn't know that before they bought it?
