A Very Tall Chimney

This is a chimney used by one of the lead mines in Teesdale.It was built around 1900's.

I awarded myself 5 stars for this shot. Not because its a particularly good picture but for the fact that I have a major major problem with vertigo (heck I dont even like being 5ft 10in). The stars were for the fact that I managed to get the shot before I fell over

Lovely picture, but I understand the dizzy bit. Want you needed was one of those things they use to keep them safe if they climb, in this case it would just stop you from toppling over

Vertigo isnt always to do with tall things Louise,simply holding your head back,causes it,something to do with the back of the neck, what the heck glad you liked the pic

I realise that - I also have problems tipping my head back - what I meant was, instead of using the ties to stop you from falling down, it stops you from falling back!

I was wondering what if you had laid on your back and took the shot would the vertigo not have come into play then?

One thing I've never wanted to do is drive, always been chauffered (can't spell it) about, in other words I have been SPOILT

I know what you could do, how about building yourself some mobile scaffolding, one where you could sort of stand inside and rest your elbows on it then you wouldn't need to worry about falling over.............but you might look a silly
