Anyone any idea what type of Bee this is please
Whte-tailed Bumblre bee.
Great capture . Well done
Really, thanks Chocky, I have never heard of them before, I get quite a lot of them in my garden. Shall have to read up on them, thanks again
Yes . There is also a buff -taild and a red - tailed . The buff-tailed is a deafinate buff where yours is white.
I am told the white tailed are declining, we have quite a few down here. I will see if I have a nice red tailed bumblee I took some last year
I'll see if I can find all three. I like to get them in flight ,

I came across this great identifier - you move the bands of colour until it resembles yours... and tells you which one it is. Much easier than the usual checking through loads of piccies. It's from the Natural History Museum.

go down to the bottom to the "identification guide".
Thanks for that ladylouise, I have saved it to my favourites
This might be of interest too
Buff-tailed = Bombus terrestris
White- tailed = Bombus lucorum
Red tailed = Bombus lapidarius
