Knobbly knees...or what!!
Spotted this Heron sat on the back fence late this afternoon, he was there for ages and couldn't resist the urge to take his picture. He was sat on the fence overlooking our wildlife pond so I made my way up the garden slowly thinking that at any moment he would fly away but no he let me walk up the garden right up to the pond and he did not budge when I went to sit on the bench at the edge of the pond. The third shot is of a grey wagtail which I spotted whilst in my hide. It is quite far away so it's not a very good shot but I am really pleased this is the third time I have seen it at the edge of the pond. I tried to sneak up on it yesterday but it spotted me and flew off making a right song and dance
