Cany you ID please

Can somebody kindly ID what I think may be damsel flies. They are very small , I had about three of them flying around the garden yesterday afternoon

Yes, certainly looks like an Emerald, lovely shot Babs, particularly the second one.

I hate to be party pooper but these are large red damselflies.

Could well be right, although the eyes don't match any pictures I have in my book of the large red, I've just looked at some internet images and they are similar, I do find it difficult to tell between some of the species.
