Wasn't great light today, blowing a gale and drifting snow, but got a quick shot of the flocks in the orchard next door.

Oh, I love the little 'contretemps' in the second one - such garrulous birds those Starlings, even if food isn't scarce

I think there was a bit of Tempreture increase today as Birds Loccally were very active, there were Long Tailed Tits, Greenfinch, and Goldfinch all in small numbers Foraging in the Oak Tree and Busy at the Birdtable as well as the regular Great & Blue tits. I got Quite Excited by them all! did not get any good shots tho

Yes very Catherine, stood out there yesterday for nearly an hour listening to them.

Here are a couple more shots.

More nice shots. It has certainly warmed up here. I could see a small cloud of flying insects in the front garden... that must have pleased the Sparrows.

These are lovely shots, Rolf! I can almost hear the noise in the 'squabbling' one!

What a difference the sun makes too! The snow is sparkling and the warm light on the birds' feathers gives a sense of cheer and warmth.

You're right Catherine, sunlight really does make such a difference.
