    Default Mint moth (late season faded colouring) - Pyrausta aurata

    At first I wondered if it was a different moth to the ones I snapped earlier in the season, but having checked up, it appears that the earlier rich red fades during the season to this more muted brown colour. - it's as though it ripens

    They may not be quite as striking - but still a lovely little moth even if they are so small that you can't appreciate their beauty without taking a close-up shot.
