i watched with delight as this male adult wagtail busily fed his three young offspring. to and fro he came with mouthfuls of fly ( of which there were plenty). the birds all seemed to have been 'ringed'.
the adult had a black throat, indicating that it was male. they female was nearbythey might only have been young, but they have learnt how to 'wag' their tails already!!
