    Nikon D300,nikon 70-200 +1.7 converter. Nikon 105 mm Macro with VR Sigma 300 with X2 converter Nikon P5000 with fieldscope and Binos Nikon D7000 Nikon 17-55 mm F2.8

    Default Little Grebe with Chicks.

    Taken on friday at Lwwt. (this was the first time I've seen them with young.)

    Aw, they are SO pretty!

    Don't think I've seen baby Little Grebes before.

    They are so much more attractive than young Coots or Moorhens!

    They are prettier than great crested grebe chicks although the head stripes are the same.

    You are quite right there, Catherine - they are terribly cute, unlike the others who, well, only a mother could love them That parent has obviously been working hard though, it's very wet.
