    Heard him calling and as he got nearer and nearer saw him fly to a tree near by. stopped for about 10 rapid shots and flew off

    Well done Beryl, most shots of Greens are on the ground, nice to see one doing more Woodpeckery things.

    I have only ever seen one and probably this one . I captured it from a distance in the summer just a it was taking off sothere are a couple of not too fantastic photos of it inflight some where in the forum
