Birds and other wildlife are no longer considered a boring hobby for 'nerds,' as proved by a whole host of celebrities looking at some of Britain's most iconic birds on a major new TV series.
Celebrities including singer and presenter Myleene Klass, author and former SAS soldier Chris Ryan, actress Shobna Gulati and actor and director Tom Conti are all featured with flagship birds for regional programmes accompanying the BBC ‘Saving Planet Earth’ series, proving that all sorts of people can enjoy nature.
The series will highlight the plight of a number of endangered species including the amazing albatross which is facing a huge threat from fishing techniques in the southern oceans.
Closer to home on the 14 regional shows, celebrities learn about other species that have faced extinction such as booming bitterns, marsh harriers and sea eagles.
