Taken by Caversham Lock. She was still sitting on the eggs today.
Superb shot, Joe! Well spotted!
Great catch, no obstructions to a clear shot... and sight of the eggs!!
Just an update on the Grebes. Taken yesterday. I did visit today but no sign of hatching yet.
Lovely series of pics, Joe!
When are you going there to check them next?
I went today Catherine, and she is still sitting on the eggs. Not posting any more pics yet as they are all the same . My next chance to visit will be on Thursday
Look forward to seeing the next chapter of the story, Joe!
Here are the pics from today. the changing of eggsitting duties. Pics are not too good as the the sun kept breaking through the clouds.
But is wasn't quite set up right for the second watch, they had to give it a bit of an adjust first
Went to see the Grebes on Tuesday, still on the nest. Went to see them yesterday. Curses, they've left the nest. Searched up and down the river managed to find them 1/2 mile upstream, but they were in the middle of the river and I only had the 70-200 +1.7 converter with me. I managed to get some shots. From some of the views I managed to see with the bins They've got 2/3 young. Never did manage to get a pic showing them.
Well it's a result Joe, nice to see them hatched and out and about.
Oh Bless - I love the little head peeping up from Daddies back
Great set of pics, Joe!
I also love the little one's attitude, sitting on his parent's back!
