    Was basking below me in the water late Sunday afternoon, guess it had had its fill of small fry, it was around 2' long.

    Don't think he'd be big enough for ducklings, but maybe. There was certainly more than one, as while I was watching this one, the fish were braking the lake surface as they were being chased. Amazes me that people will discard rubbish on a nature reserve.
