This one is a domesticated duck and I think it may have come from one of the houses across the road from the pond whee I captured it.
He/she was trying to get back as you see in the photos he has a each way and waits for the traffic. I stood frozen to my spot as the traffic was heavy, though the traffic does know and stops for ducks to cross. But he/she changed his/her mind and went back to the pond. In the last but one he has razed the head feathers. He/ she is not pleased. Almost calm and settled for the pond again in the last photo

Your telling me and this is a fairly young one as it hasn't all of it's nodules yet. It will be so ugly when full grown

My son goes along there some time and the traffic often stops for the ducks to cross
