Dunnock - Prunella modularis
I have been trying to catch one of these little beggars twice a day for 2 weeks. Where I am looking is a dark glade in the middle of a housing estate where you can see them scuttling about on the floor, and can hear them so well.. but because they are flighty and brown.. and it's dark, it has been hell.
But today I managed to get in the middle of an area that was being claimed by a bird who was flitting around the same set of trees, calling.
I have considered taking a monopod to help with the fact that it has to be a relatively slow shutter speed, but kept forgetting... and you have to be able to move so easily to peer through the leaves that I'm not sure how useful it would be.
Anyway... after spinning about for half an hour trying to follow it, and with a card full of unsharp photos, I got a few that are almost in focus and full shots. Whoo-hoo!! I made a triptych out of a few of the lesser shots .My arm hurts now, though.gif "Smile")
