    Default Purple Heron at Frensham ?

    Has anyone heard of or seen a purple heron at Frensham Pond in the last few days ?

    Haven't been over that way I'm afraid, although I see that there have been reports at the London Wetlands centre.

    Have heard of the Purple Heron but have never seen one. It has a reddish neck and is smaller then the Grey Heron

    I was over at the London Wetlands Centre today,and a purple heron did show there last saturday for the whole morning,unfortunatly it has gone now,it was very quiet there today apart from about 20 grey herons.

    A kingfisher was showing very well for 20 mins from the Wildside hide,unfortunatly I missesd it
