Brent Goose- Branta bernicla

A small, dark goose - the same size as a mallard. It has a black head and neck and grey-ish brown back, Adults have a white neck patch
I captured these today. there aren't very many and I have read that they are on the Amber list

Nice one Chocky, I'm not really up on water birds apart from mallard and canadian geese, coot and a couple more....... but my brains not working

The Brent goose is a very small goose. Still honks like an 18 wheeler though
