    Looks can be deceptive. Where the Kennet River briefly parts from the canal, it's so low the water is clear enough (and shallow enough) to see the bottom. The ducks can muddy the water by dipping their heads - they don't need to actually dive down. You can see the normal level mark on the wall here http://www.thamesvalleybirds.co.uk/a...-19-lbcrop.jpg

    Actually, yes, it has - you should see me trying to get up off my knees Of course, the shakes could come from overindulgence in certain things, like errmm, caffeine
