These fellows are really easy to photograph. I think they love to pose for pics.

Nice capture wildgoose, strangely enough, last time i saw one, it was keeping tantalisingly just out of range, you must have found a sociable one.

nice shot of a handsome bird. did you know that you can attract stonechats closer to you by tapping two small stones together??? apparentlly the sound of the stones, knocking together, mimics the sound of a rival birds' call. the stone chat comes towards the noise of the rival 'bird', to defend its' territory. i saw bill oddie do this on one of his programmes and tried it for myself.... it actually worked!!!
Yes . I would Imagen. All birds are curious I often attract them with little noises, they come to see what it is too if they don't recognise it
I guess that’s where their name came from??
