    Saw this lizard sunning itself in Cyprus a couple of weeks ago don't know what it's called though.

    What size was it? It has a very fierce look and would be quite frightening looking if it were large!

    Just had a look about and it looks like a Sling-tailed Agama, so if it is, it's about a foot long.

    Goodness, Catherine's quite right - scary if large, although a foot long is long enough to be scary! Nice shot though - looks like he's posing. It reminds me of the sort of creature they used in the old 'Land that Time Forgot' films
