Avoiding Bird Strikes on large windows

For any of you who are suffering with birds flying into your windows, I have found that transparent Ultraviolet stickers on the windows have been effective in preventing this.

I got mine from www.ernest-charles.com , search for window alert or jj7, they are £4.95 for a pack of four, probably enough for one large window, but certainly appear to be value for money, as they work and i have had no bird strike incidents since applying them.

Ah, may give those a try, although it hasn't happened yet this year, I did have a couple of Wood Pigeons fly into the patio doors last summer.

They go on the outside for best effect.

Yes, best used outside, I in fact got my last lot direct from the american manufacturer, even with the extra postage cost, was cheaper and they of course carry a larger selection..

hi, regarding those bird strike stickers - how do the 'window cleaners' go on when they come to do their job?

Mine stay on all year round Leigh, our window cleaner uses a pole now, rather than ladders and they survive fine. They also used to survive when he used hand tools.

They do really need replacing at least every twelve months, but they certainly seem to do their job.
