    Next time you have bad thoughts about UK road signs for any reason have a look at this one which is fairly typical for the destination signs. It takes Brits about half an hour to read these sort of road signs...

    The curly d is a "th" souns so the approximate pronunciations are:

    Faskruthsfyorthur to the left
    Sturthvarffyorthur to the right

    By the time your navigator has pronounced it you have passed the bloody junction!

    Heres a different problem in Crete. The locals like to use the signs for target practise!

    The Cretan mountain roads are great fun to drive on. Yes that is the main road in and out of the valley zig zagging up the far side!
