Thought I would let you see this pic I took this afternoon from an advantage point over Morecambe Bay from a small place called Pilling. I'm really guessing here but hopefully educated ones. The boat - en route to Belfast - is about 30 minutes out of Heysham Harbour which is about 8 miles away from where I am standing. The mountains are the Lakeland ones which are about 15 miles away and the farthest mountain perhaps 25 miles away. All these measurements are as the crow flies. The pic is taken through my telescope.
