No, don't think so, they are not very big, much smaller than a Damselfly, so not very frightening..gif "Smile")

I thought the same as you Beryl, I'd have run a mile too, an interesting little creature though and good shots too
Was down at my friend's place on the Thames at Caversham (opposite Reading Rock site) and the garden was full of them, you hardly notice them, thought they were Crane flies to start off.
Oh . Well it sounds like I have seen them then. I will take a good lok next time I go out with my camera maybe we can et some others.
Now Crane flies they are very very scary
