    I had packed all my gear up and was walking out of the area when I saw him. I've never got the camera out so quick didn't bother with lens hood and hand held it for a burst of shots. This was probably the best one.

    Nice shot of a lovely bird.
    It's always the ways isn't it - I missed a great shot of the Red Arrows at the weekend due to having just put the camera away - since I was in the middle of town I didn't think that I was going to get anything interesting when they roared overhead.... twice

    Just being in the right place at the right time. This was the first bird of prey I've captured at Barnes.

    Isn't that so often the case Joe, some of my best shots have been last minute or happen upon birds, right place at the right time.
