    Default Mint Moth - Pyrausta aurata

    Still trying to get the perfect shot of one of these little beauties, but as they are rather flighty and so tiny , it's hard to get at just the right angle to get it all in good focus.... but I'll persevere
    This is another one using the cheap Macro filter.

    tbh who cares if its cheap if it gives you that good a picture wow brillant shot..

    Thanks Billy. I was surprised at how good it was for something so cheap (about £15-£20) for a set of 4 (different magnifications), and since I can't afford a proper lens, this will do nicely thankyou

    Here's a shot showing the wonderfully large eyes, and another with a pair of them apparently doing 'what come naturally'

    Louise, that first pic (thread starter) is absolutely wonderful!

    I don't understand why it's not in the Gallery - it's even better than the two you have there!
