hiya, these were taken at the lakes near finchamsted minds gone blank for the moment. I have no idea what they are appart from dragonflys and fluttery things
The first one is a Moth Longhorn (Adelidae) Nemophora degeerella
The second with mate as you say looks like
Azure Damselfly (Coenagrion puella)

there were hundreds of the first one flying round my face so i copied something i saw on telly. Held my hand out to see if anything would settle, need to learn to take better pictures...
I love moths like this with such ridiculous body parts But I wouldn't be so hard on yourself - one-handed is never easy. Nice shot of the damselflies (the naughty devils!).
I did the same today with a hoverfly who kept following me... but I just couldn't get a shot as the camera was in my left hand, not my right
