    Had three Jays in the copse opposite this morning, managed to get a few pictures with the big lens.

    Here's my first sound recording, unfortunately it was very windy today so not a great sound clip, but wanted to try one using the embedded player anyway.

    Hi Robert, used my new Remembird recorder and then took out most of the rumble caused by the wind using Audacity. The Remembird outputs in MP3 format, so no conversion required.

    I'm looking at converting a Sky minidish for use as a parabolic microphone director, this should give a larger degree of direction to the mic and enhance sound volume over distance.
