    Default Exbury in March

    It doesn't seem so long ago since I posted 'Exbury in Autumn', but those famous gardens have opened their doors once more, and if Saturday was a taste of the season to come, we're in for a treat this year!

    Firstly, some Camellias... and look at the size of the flowers against my hand!

    I had to avoid Bees too, as there were many Bumble Bees and Honey Bees busy amongst them!

    Now, some Rhododendrons..

    Alive with Bees, the bushes hummed loudly as we passed them;

    A few early Azaleas were blooming as well. Here are two of them, plus a few other spring flowers which added colour to a lovely day!

    I've also added a photo of the new bridge over the stream which leads into the upper pond of the Cascade, and one of an Ivy - which, climbing up an old Rhododendron trunk, took on an art form all of its own!

    (Oh, and that was just some random tourist on the bridge!)
