This little female seemed injured, or at the least stunned, as it was hiding in long grass when I passed and was fit enough to fly short distances as soon as I got closer. Went back later and it wasn't there, so hopefully recovered.

She looks as if she is just resting. Perhaps it was only her pride which was hurt?
Well noticed once more. I am guessing you are not feeling the effects of Storm Frank? No rain here, but VERY windy all day!
Birds flying backwards!
Very little wind here Catherine, which is unusual, but does make dog walking easier, as for the times when I'm walking on the roads I can hear when cars are coming, rare as that might be.
Saw what I believe to be a Goshawk yesterday and the day before, but not quick enough with the binoculars to verify.
