Default Swallow-tailed Moth - Ourapteryx sambucaria

Must've been perched on my curtains when i closed them last night to go to bed, then landed on the wall after briefly fluttering around. Not here this morning, must've found a quiet spot to hide away. Not a small moth at around 3cm, this one looks to have been in the wars.

Must be a really nice moth when it's whole. Nice shot of it as well.

Yep - it's had a bit of a narrow squeak - lovely moth, though.

    What beautiful wings!

It's so sad that he/she is no longer 'complete'!

It never seems to slow them down, though.
