    Default Chrysoteuchia culmella - Moth (no common name)

    20mm wingspan - a grass moth.

    Not a great shot I'm afraid, but since they are apparenty very jumpy creatures I decided that I probably wouldn't get another chance!
    Because the gold of the moth doesn't react well with the light I put the 2 shots together so you could get a more complete view of the patterning - it's the angled lines that distinguish it.
    As you can see - it was a windy day. even sitting on the inside of the window frame
