    Default Greenham Common to Hannington TV Transmitter

    Stopped in a layby on the edge of the common and snapped a couple of views. Was really caught with the 1966 US Pipe Hydrant.

    Nice landscape, but I also love the hydrant. It has a wonderful shape and I love the look of weathered metals anyway. It does look very un-british - I assume the 'US' bit it as it suggests?

    Yes think so, I guess the Americans built everything using their own kit. U.S. Pipe
