I don't get to see these too often, but recently I've seen a few - just can't get close enough to get a decent shot (that and the 'bleaching' sun).

They seem very nervous birds and are off like a shot if they see you. The sun is so intense at the moment I can't get a decent Chiffchaff or Coal tit, And as for thorns. They must have rubber skin
