From what I understand this will the first of many shots we will all get in the next few weeks

So... there I was in London, reading about how we will have millions of these emerging in the next few weeks, thinking "I'll have to make an effort to get out and catch one" (never knowingly seen one before). I get back to Reading, ready to go straight for a rest once I got in as I felt so tired, only to see what I thought could be one flying from the front garden over to the back.. I ran though the house with the camera out and followed it around the garden, only for it to land about 10 feet up, and me with my short lens on. I ran into the house, up stairs, changed the lens, still finding it too far up.. so I then go and get a ladder. All the time he's just sitting there. I haven't got the open wings, but I aim to in the next few weeks.
