    Not sure but I think it's a Blackcap

    It does look like one to me. I know what you mean about the sun - I was out today and so many of the colours are washed out due to the bright sun.

    Yes. I did get one but that was so grainy to go in the forum and tasking out the noise t made it worse the one above looked a different shape and some times shadows can be mistaken for true colouring.
    But I think it is a male Blackcap

    The one above is . It was taken in another location about 1 mile away although it could well be the same bird
