Spent the evening eating, drinking and listening to the bands across the river on the main stage.

Side view from the first floor balcony/patio, where we were eating.

The whole crowd in the campsite appeared to be obsessed with fire, as by the end of the evening, several large ones had sprung up in various places around the campsite

There were regular visits from the fire brigade to calm them down, as some were only a couple of metres away from tents..

View straight across the river from the table to the main campsite.

They also seemed to enjoy throwing aerosols and small camping gas cannisters onto the fires, as every few minutes we would see a large flash and hear the bang, followed by a cheer. This went on until around four thirty in the morning, accompanied by drumming and chanting, really great to try and sleep through, no wonder the neighbours around are not keen on the festival. Just as I'd got off to sleep at about six AM, someone decided that it would be a great fun idea to launch several aerial bombs, so that was the end of that attempted night's sleep.

Here's a video clip (taken about 200 yds away) of one of the camping gas cannisters being thrown on the fire, this was one of the small explosions, obviously a nearly empty one, some of the explosions were huge.

I tuned into that and thought 'Oh that's where Rolf has got to'.
Too noisy I turned it off.
Hope you had a good time.

Was a fun evening, but sleepless night, the location is very nice though, wish I could afford to live there.

The big fence on the other bank is not there normally, it is water meadows. The first photo is the queue for the water taxi, it was travelling back and forth to a satellite car park. The second photo is a boat load of youths being ticked off for speeding, the third and fourth are of the local birds.
