The equipment I use is a Canon 30D with Sigma 50-500mm lens. I also have a garden hide from which I take most of my pictures.

    Default Male Blackbird

Been off work this week and for the first time I managed to get one or two shots late this afternoon

Thanks rolf, the first one was taken just outside the hide, I was listening to him for ages inside the conifer and then he slowly edged his way out but paused for quite a while I took the shots, very obliging are my blackbirds

Tell you what Babs, would be really nice for you to post a couple of pictures of your hide in the equipment section if it's possible.

Excellent shots of the Blackbird Babs. I heard a Blackbird singing at full throttle a few weeks ago now in the dark at around 4.45pm one Sunday.
