Default long eared owl marton mere blackpool

here are three very poor quality images taken today at marton mere in blackpool.
today was my first real venture out of the year, so far, due to work/weather etc. long eared owls roost here most winters. they usually choose the same spot to roost and give very good views.
yesterday six owls were spotted all together.
as my luck would have it, the birds were not in their usual spot!!!. myself and a few other birders spent all morning trying to locate them, but to no avail. i was literally on my way back to my car when a man spotted a lone owl tucked deep in the scrub. the view was'nt the the greatest, obsured by branches and the light was very poor...... but i went home happy!!!
one of the images, if you can make it out!!, shows the owl side on, with its' ear tufts.

Well done Andy, at least you managed to see one. Apart from a couple of fly by sightings and looking at birds at the Hawk conservancy, I've never managed to see one in detail.
